Preview documentation · Coming later this year

Release status

ZombieSurvival is planned for release later this year. There is no public purchase or download link yet. This wiki describes the current revamped build to help you plan your server; confirm release requirements when the plugin becomes available.

Requirements

Component Current build
Server Spigot or Paper; built against the Minecraft 26.1.2 Spigot API
Server Java Java 25 or newer for Minecraft 26.1.2
Required plugins WeaponMechanics and MechanicsCore 4.3.1 or newer
Optional plugins Vault, PlaceholderAPI, DecentHolograms and Multiverse-Core

The server's Java requirement is separate from a development build toolchain. Use the Java version required by your chosen Minecraft server.

Install a provided build

Once you have a release or authorized preview build:

  1. Stop your server and back up any existing ZombieSurvival installation.
  2. Install WeaponMechanics and its matching MechanicsCore dependency.
  3. Place the ZombieSurvival plugin JAR in plugins/ and start the server.
  4. Check the console for dependency and configuration errors.
  5. Run /zs weapons install, followed by /wm reload, to install the bundled weapon definitions.
  6. Configure the lobby and build a test arena using /zs setup and the arena/station tools.

Add optional integrations

  • Vault: economy rewards when an economy provider is also installed.
  • PlaceholderAPI: placeholders in configured scoreboards and related text.
  • DecentHolograms: hologram leaderboards.
  • Multiverse-Core: useful for managing additional worlds.

First playable arena

An arena needs appropriate lobby, spectator and player spawns, rooms with zombie spawns, and a saved world template. Configure stations for your intended map progression, then verify the setup with /zs arena status <arena>.

Use arena setup for the full workflow. If you are upgrading a CrackShot-era installation, read migration first.
