Configuration

Rewards & Kill Streaks

Give players permission-based rewards for kills and gifts for reaching kill streaks.

How rewards work

Rewards are configured in the Rewards section of config.yml and are permission-based: every reward is tied to a permission node, and only players holding that permission can receive it. This lets you create rank-specific rewards (VIPs get better drops) or global ones (give the permission to everyone).

Note: Because YAML keys can't contain dots, every dot in the permission is written as a dash. permission-one in the config means the permission permission.one in-game. Each permission can only be used for one reward.

A reward has three parts: kill_mode, chance and cmds.

kill_mode

The kill mode defines when the reward triggers:

Kill mode Triggers on Placeholder
PLAYER Killing a player %victim%
ANIMAL Killing an animal %animal%
MONSTER Killing a monster %monster%
BOTH Killing an animal or a monster %entity%
BOUNTY Killing a player with an active bounty %victim%
KILLSTREAK_BREAK:<n> Killing a player whose kill streak is at least <n> %victim%

For ANIMAL, MONSTER and BOTH you can restrict the reward to an entity type, and even to a specific entity name (color codes supported):

# Any monster
kill_mode: "MONSTER"

# Only creepers
kill_mode: "MONSTER:CREEPER"

# Only chickens named "&6Chicken MC Nugget"
kill_mode: "ANIMAL:CHICKEN:&6Chicken MC Nugget"

chance

The percentage chance that the reward executes when its kill mode triggers. 100 fires every time, 50 half the time, 1 once in a hundred kills.

cmds

The actions executed when the reward fires:

Action Description
[CMD] Executes a command from the console
[MSG] Sends a chat message to the player
[TITLE] Sends a title to the player
[SUBTITLE] Sends a subtitle to the player
[SOUND] Plays a sound to the player (Sound, Volume, Pitch)

Full example

Three rewards: a 50 % chance diamond for player kills, a guaranteed reward for killing a named Ender Dragon, and a bonus for breaking a 15+ kill streak:

Rewards:
  permissions:
    permission-one:
      kill_mode: "PLAYER"
      chance: 50
      cmds:
      - "[TITLE] &c&l+1 Kill"
      - "[SUBTITLE] &7You have killed &4%victim%&7!"
      - "[MSG] &eYou have killed &c%victim% &ewith a chance of &c50%&e!"
      - "[CMD] give %player% diamond 1"
      - "[SOUND] ENTITY_PLAYER_LEVELUP, 2f, 1f"
    permission-two:
      kill_mode: "MONSTER:ENDER_DRAGON:&5Dragon"
      chance: 100
      cmds:
      - "[MSG] &eYou have killed the enderdragon: &5%monster%"
      - "[CMD] give %player% diamond 32"
      - "[SOUND] ENTITY_PLAYER_LEVELUP, 2f, 1f"
    permission-three:
      kill_mode: "KILLSTREAK_BREAK:15"
      chance: 100
      cmds:
      - "[MSG] &eDamn! You have denied the killstreak of &c%victim%&e!"
      - "[CMD] give %player% beacon 64"
      - "[SOUND] ENTITY_PLAYER_LEVELUP, 2f, 1f"

Kill streaks

The Kill-Streaks section works the same way — permission-based, dashes instead of dots — but triggers when a player reaches a streak instead of when they make a kill. Each entry sets the required streak, whether the plugin prefix is shown on messages, and the actions to run. Kill streaks additionally support the [BROADCAST] action and the %streak% placeholder:

Kill-Streaks:
  permissions:
    permission-one:
      # Kills needed in a row
      streak: 5
      # Show the plugin prefix on messages
      prefix: true
      cmds:
      - "[BROADCAST] %player% has reached a killstreak of %streak%!"
      - "[TITLE] &6Killstreak!"
      - "[SUBTITLE] &e%streak% Kills!"
      - "[MSG] You got a diamond for reaching this streak!"
      - "[CMD] give %player% minecraft:diamond 1"
      - "[SOUND] ENTITY_PLAYER_LEVELUP, 2f, 1f"

You can create as many kill streaks as you want — add one entry per streak milestone.

Tip: To reward the player who ends someone's streak, use a regular reward with the KILLSTREAK_BREAK:<n> kill mode instead.
